Haunted Hollywood: A Ghost Tour of
Los Angeles

Haunted Hollywood is the term given to hauntings that occur in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, California and nearby. The term, Haunted Hollywood, most often refers to hauntings by ghosts of celebrities, although It also applies to hauntings in the area by spirits of ordinary people. Most cultures and regions in the world carry legends about ghosts and hauntings. Hollywood is no exception.

Hollywood

Hollywood is home to the U.S. movie and television industry. Because of the glitter and glamour associated with it, it has come to be known as Tinseltown. It is a place where reality and fantasy mix. People come from all over the world to take tours to see where the stars lived and where some died. There are those who believe that their ghosts remain there after death. The places that are most often believed to be haunted are the stars' homes and places they regularly frequented during their life.

Hollywood ghost stories

Ghost stories, like those in Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles area, tend to proliferate in places that have a lot of history, folklore, or strong emotions attached to them. The Los Angeles area certainly possesses all of these traits and can lay claim to many haunted places. Media coverage and ghost tours of Haunted Hollywood are very popular with tourists and locals alike, especially during the Halloween season where they have become a Halloween tradition.
